U.S. Mortgage Industry Grew In 2009

According to a recent report by Mortgage Daily, a national mortgage industry news publication, employment in the mortgage industry expanded in 2009, after over 100,000 jobs were lost over the last three years.

Mortgage Rates Fall After a Five-Week Rise

After rising continuously for five weeks, mortgage rates dropped, though they still remain above the 5% level. Fannie Mae’s December Housing Forecast Expects Real Estate Market to Rebound But Predicts Disappointing Performance For Mortgage Lenders in 2010

Mortgage giant Fannie Mae released its December Housing Forecast yesterday. Despite the lackluster performance of the housing market and economy this year, the forecast predicts double-digit gains for the real estate industry in 2010.
